Pastor Jonathan Bowling

Pastor Bowling began his service in May of 2016 after eleven years of ordained ministry in rural South Carolina. He graduated from Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC, and completed his Master of Divinity degree at San Francisco Theological Seminary. In his prior call he served with the Communications Commission of Trinity Presbytery as well as working for many years with the Outdoor Ministries Division, which operated the Fellowship Camp and Conference Center.

Bob Norem, Music Director

Bob joined the staff as director of music ministries in July 2015. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Music (1993) and a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology (1992). Bob also holds teaching certifications in Music and Middle Grades Science. He has taught for 23 years, the last 18 being at Topsail Middle School in Hampstead, where he teaches Band and Marine Biology.

Before joining Carolina Beach Presbyterian Church, Bob served in music ministries for 20 years at several churches in the Wilmington area, including Myrtle Grove Presbyterian, Harbor Methodist, St. Mark’s Episcopal and Topsail Presbyterian Churches. In addition to his music ministry and teaching he is also the Orchestra Manager for the Wilmington Symphony Youth Orchestra.

Bob is a member of the American Guild of Organists, North Carolina Music Educator’s Conference, North Carolina Bandmaster’s Association Eastern District, North Carolina Association of Educators, and the National Association for Music Educators.

 

Jennifer Reynolds, Office Administrator

Jenn joined the staff in April 2024. She and her husband, James, and their two daughters moved to the Wilmington area in 2012 from Ohio. After Jenn’s mother, Kathy Frauman, moved to the area, they both joined our church in March 2023. Jenn is active in the choir, Rising Women, and Book Club ever since.

Jenn’s experience includes working at her home church in Ohio as administrator. Her previous work experience also includes working as a medical transcriptionist, managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, and caring for elementary age children helping them build a sense of trust and security in a Christian environment.
