Learning about God and Each Other

Adult Education classes are held Sunday mornings from 9-9:45 in the classroom across from church office. The class uses lessons from the Feasting on the Word (PCUSA) curriculum which follows the Bible readings that will be used in worship.

We also gather for monthly family suppers where we eat well and play some games. See the church calendar for the next family supper.

Building Faith for our Youth

Sunday evening gatherings of the youth fellowship for supper (usually pizza!) at 5pm, followed by games, activities, service projects, and a devotional time. We also schedule in outings for bowling, pool parties, skating, etc. See the church calendar for the schedule of dates.

Members of the youth group also attend Summer Conferences at Montreat Conference Center (Sr. highs) and Massanetta Springs Conference Center (Jr. highs).

Vacation Bible School is offered each year in June for children 4 years old through 5th grade. We gather to learn about God through a variety of crafts, puppets, sits, music, Bible study and service projects.

Presbyterian Women, or PW, is a group of Christian women who meet regularly for Bible study, prayer, friendship, and serving others. You don’t have to be a cradle Presbyterian or even self-identify as Presbyterian to participate. Women of all ages are welcome to join one or more of the PW small groups which are called circles. There are four different PW circle small groups at CBPC. Click here for further information.

Our Presbyterian Men’s fellowship group meets for breakfast at 7am on the first Wednesday of the month to share friendship, hear a speaker from the church or community, and give back to the community. Click here for further information.

The CBPC Book Club meets on the second Thursday of each month at 6:30 PM in the Fellowship hall of the church, sometimes in participants' homes. The format is the same as most book clubs: the group gathers to discuss the book for the month, guided by the person who chose it. For October the Book Club is reading The Red Tent. Meetings are on the second Thursday of the month at 6:30 PM.

Upcoming books include The Prayer Box in November and a reading of The Littlest Angel in December. The Winter Garden is the January reading with Orphans of the Storm, plus All the Colors of the Dark, The Trackers and The First Ladies (Benedict and Murray) later this spring.
