Bob Norem is our director of music ministries. The music ministry of Carolina Beach Presbyterian has one mission: to help members of the congregation worship God and enjoy Him forever using music. The music ministry does this in several ways, but most specifically through the gifts and talents of the Chancel Choir.

The Chancel Choir sings most Sunday mornings at the 11:00 a.m. Worship Service. It is composed of adults singing 3- or 4-part harmony. They also sing at all our special services including: Hanging of the Greens, Lessons and Carols, Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday and Easter.

Rehearsals are held in the choir room each Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. The choir sings from September through July. New members are always welcome, and advanced music reading skills are not necessary.

Familiarity with singing hymns is experience enough for anyone interested in joining the choir. Music here at Carolina Beach Presbyterian is quite varied. You will hear music that is classical, traditional and contemporary in one service. You will hear music on the organ, piano and varied instrumentalists who use their gifts to glorify God. Other opportunities to serve the church through music are also available. In the future, we aim to develop a children’s choir and a hand bell choir.

We would love for you to get involved in any capacity. If you would like to join us, just see Bob after service or you can email him at Come help us help the congregation worship God.
