Our mission is not possible without the generous giving of visitors, church members, friends, and community. We’re grateful for all support we receive. Contact us if you want to make a gift in a way you don’t see listed here, or if we can be of assistance.

Giving of your time and talents is another way you can contribute to our church and community. If you are interested in learning more, please complete our Time and Talent Survey form online.

We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit and can provide a charitable gift acknowledgement receipt or letter that can be used when filing your tax return.

Donate electronically via the bank you use. Your bank’s online payment service that you use to pay bills may be able to make one-time or recurring donations to charitable organizations. Call your bank’s customer service number for info on what they offer. This is a donation method that usually incurs no additional cost to the donor or to the charitable recipient.

Donations can also be mailed to…

Memorial and Honorary Gifts

If you make a memorial or honorary donation via the online giving portal, please contact the church office to let us know in whose memory or honor it is given. Honoraria and memorial cards can be mailed as designated by the donor. Donors can specify if they would like to remain anonymous. If you would like to make the donation in person, you can do so during the week, usually between 8:00am and 1:00pm. Let us know if another time of day is necessary and we can arrange for a volunteer or staff member to be present to receive the gift.

Other Ways to Give

Direct Transfer from an IRA
(**Please consult your financial advisor or tax professional for the most up to date information**) If you are 70 1/2 or older and must take a Required Minimum Distribution from your IRA, you can make a contribution to the church directly from your IRA simply by instructing your plan administrator to make the transfer directly to Carolina Beach Presbyterian Church. Your gift will be transferred directly to the church, will not be reported as taxable income and will count toward your yearly minimal distribution requirements. This might be important to some who, due to tax law, find it more beneficial to take the new increased standard deduction rather than itemizing. By making the contribution directly from your IRA, it reduces your income and might help in preventing other increases for Medicare, drug insurance, etc. Required Minimum Distributions must be made by December 31st each year in order to exclude that amount from taxable income.

Gifts of Securities
(**Please consult your financial advisor or tax professional for the most up to date information**) A gift of stock or other securities may be a good way to make a gift. Generally, the value of the stock is considered to be the charitable contribution and any gain is not taxable. If you have stock that has substantially increased in value, you may be able to give it to the church and receive a charitable contribution for its value without having to pay tax on the increase in value. Of course, first check with your tax advisor as there are some special situations that may apply. If you wish to consider a gift of stock or securities to the church, please contact the church office.
